Employees Charitable Contribution of New Jersey

Frequently Asked Questions

Why give?

Because your contribution can address problems and make life better. Giving through the ECC saves you time and is extremely cost efficient - 90% of every dollar contributed provides services. Only 10% of the total amount raised is used for administrative costs.

The Employees Charitable Campaign is an easy way to express your caring!

What is the easiest way to give?

Payroll deduction is the easiest and most efficient way to give to ECC. Just a small contribution out of each paycheck can mean a lot to a family needing counseling because of job loss; a young child who needs medical care for a serious illness or to help the environment recover from a man-made disaster. What would your gift mean to someone?

If my circumstances change, can I change my pledge?

Absolutely. Simply notify the payroll office and the change will be made.

How is my gift distributed?

That is up to you. When you give to the ECC, you have the choice of designating all or part of your gift to a particular agency or federation listed in your codebook.

What if my favorite charity isn't registered?

Charities participating in this campaign must register each year with the Office of Charities Registration for the State of New Jersey. If your favorite charity does not appear in your codebook, please ask them to contact the Office of Charities Registration at (973) 504-6215 for an application. In the meantime, please look through this codebook at the extensive list of charities that you could also help.
